Welcome to Southend Choral Society

Southend Choral Society is an enthusiastic & committed choir of around 90 singers, and we offer a warm welcome to all newcomers, of any age & all walks of life.

Southend Choral Society was established in 1943 at the request of Essex County Welfare Committee for the recreation of Service personnel. Since 1983 Roger Humphrey has been the Musical Director, and the choir continues to flourish, constantly expanding its repertoire, and striving to make music of the highest possible standard, in a supportive, friendly and enjoyable environment.
